Практичне заняття № 11-12

Тема: Виконання мовленнєвих вправ за тематичним текстом “Mistaken Identity”: опис окремих сцен, драматизація окремих епізодів тексту.  Виконання підсумкових завдань. Модульний контроль.

Мета: ознайомити з художнім текстом; ситуаціями, що виникають на вокзалі, повторити вживання майбутнього часу; вчити працювати з текстом, аналізувати його;

       розвивати інтерес до вивчення іноземної мови; навички читання, письма; логічне мислення, увагу, інтелектуальні здібності учнів;

       виховувати любов та інтерес до вивчення мови та літератури країни, мова якої вивчається.

Обладнання: текст скоромовки, підручник, текст художнього уривку з твору “Mistaken Identity” (by Mark Twain), текст правила, текст модульної контрольної роботи.

Хід заняття

1.     Організаційний момент

 T: Good morning, students. Nice to meet you! Sit down, please.

2.     Фонетична зарядка

T: Today we’ll train to pronounce sound [i:] with the help of а tongue-twister.

Each Easter Eddie eats eighty Easter eggs.

T: Listen to me, and then repeat after me. Then speak with me, then say it without me, then 2-3 students say it by you.

T: OK, you very good!

3.     Актуалізація опорних знань

T: At the previous lessons we read the text “Mistaken Identity” (by Mark Twain). Today we’ll remember some interesting facts about the author and the content of the text. Also we’ll learn and practice the rules about Future Indefinite Tense.

Let’s check your home task. You had to tell me about Mark Twain and be ready to the dictation-translation on the new words.

3.1. Dictation

T: Let’s check your works in pairs – exchange the papers and check them.

3.2. Retelling the story

T: Who wants to tell us about Mark Twain? (1-2 persons answer)

-         What is the main plot of this story?

-         What are the main characters?

-         Open your books at page 70, ex.4.  Answer these questions.

-         Ok, very well, you understood the text.

4. Введення нового граматичного матеріалу

4.1. Association bush

T: Now we’ll remember the rules about Future Tense. What are the main peculiarities of this Tense?

                                                       ------- FUTURE---------

1.     Auxiliary verbs shall/will

2.     Main verb in the infinitive

3.     going to in the meaning of Future

4.     Words “tomorrow, next week, next year, month, soon”

T: And what do you know about four types of questions in Future Simple Tense? Are there any common features with Present Simple Tense?

4.2. Jigsaw

T: Now 3 students will read the rule about this tense and explain it to their group mates (3-4 students), and they in turn will tell us what they get. (Students exchange their knowledge)

T: Ok, let’s check your knowledge. Do ex. 5, p.71 (тренування у вжмванні майбутнього часу у питаннях).

5.     Модульна контрольна робота

T: We shall write a module test. You can get 20 points for it. You have to translate sentences from English to Ukrainian and find right words to the 2^nd exercise.

(студенти виконують модульну контрольну роботу).

6.     Підведення підсумків, оцінювання

T: What text did we read today? What was it about? What do you know about Mark Twain? How can we use Future Simple? What is the peculiarity of questions in Future Simple Tense?

7.     Інструктаж д/з

T: At home you have to write down new words from the text “Mass Media” and make up a dialogue about TV-programmes. Thank you for the lesson, good-bye!
